I can't do it alone.: I've noticed that pursuing chastity has helped me pursue other virtues in other areas of my life.

leavethestage:

Once you’re in His mindset, it’s easier (for me) to stay on track with Him. It sucks sometimes (okay, a lot of times) but I know it’s worth it. When praying about my purity, I always tell God that I’m with Him no matter how much it hurts or what it takes. It’s the hardest thing to say and truly mean; I know I don’t always mean what I say. The important thing is that I try and I look to my Father for guidance. What father wouldn’t protect his daughter and giver her guidance in her life?

Now that’s what I like to hear!

About

Chastity is the most unpopular of Christian virtues. There is no getting away from it; the Christian rule is, “Either marriage, with complete faithfulness to your partner, or else total abstinence.” Now this is so difficult and so contrary to our instincts, that obviously either Christianity is wrong or our sexual instinct, as it now is, has gone wrong. One or the other. Of course, being a Christian, I think it is the instinct which has gone wrong.
